EPISODE SLICE #74: The Arrival Store – Everything You Need When Moving to Korea
Audio Only Player:
Besides taking the cake for the best background in an Atlas Sliced interview, my guest Scot Sustad is the co-founder of The Arrival Store. For those who don’t know, the Arrival Store is THE most useful website when preparing to move to Korea. That’s not their motto… It’s just my personal opinion. As mentioned in the interview, I wish The Arrival Store was around when I taught in Korea a few years ago. It would have been extremely helpful.
So what does The Arrival Store do? They sell products and packages of must-have items than can be super time consuming to find on your own. It’s pretty much a one stop shop for getting settled in Korea. Things like cell phones, water purifiers, sheets, and mattress pads are much harder to find and set up than people think. The Arrival Store takes away the stress and frustration of having to do this yourself, so you can explore and get acquainted with your new country.
Scot and I talk about how and why he founded The Arrival Store, setting up an international business, and the importance of building trust both with customers and Koreans.
I encourage anyone interested in teaching or moving to Korea to check out The Arrival Store. It’s genius.
Special thanks to Scott for coming on the show!
