Resources

Here are a few travel resources I find helpful.

Wikitravel
In Wikipedia format, Wikitravel has info on every destination imaginable. Provides logistical info, like transportation, eating, and sleeping, as well as what to do/see. An awesome world travel guide.

Virtual Tourist
Travel guides, hotel reviews, photos, photos, forums, deals. My favorite part of this site is the “Warnings and Dangers” section for each place. Travelers will warn you of scams or sticky situations, so you’ll be prepared for what’s coming when it’s happening to you.

Lonely Planet
Lonely Planet never disappoints. Always a great resource for general travel info.

Travelfish
This site is everything Southeast Asia – forums, advice, accommodation, trip planning, etc.

India Mike

Need some help on how to plan a trip to India? Check out India Mike’s travel forum.

Maximo Nivel
A volunteer organization, as well as an English and Spanish language center. They have locations in Peru, Costa Rica, Guatemala, and the United States. I volunteered with them in Peru and then got TEFL/TESOL certified through them. Highly recommend.

The Clymb
A members-only travel gear site with great deals. Wanna join? Here is a personal invite: Click me.
